Moxibustion (Moxa)
The warming therapy of TCM – burning mugwort close to acupuncture points creates a deep, gentle warmth. Also available in a specially adapted form for babies and children.

In moxibustion, dried mugwort (moxa) is burned close to acupuncture points, creating a deep, pleasantly gentle warmth that many patients find very soothing. In TCM, moxa is traditionally used for cold-related complaints, to strengthen the centre, and for exhaustion.
A particular focus of my practice is children’s moxibustion: a careful, age-appropriate warming treatment of around 30 minutes, adapted especially for babies and children. In my experience the youngest patients respond well to the mild warmth – entirely without needles.
In TCM, moxibustion is traditionally used as a complementary therapy – it does not replace medical diagnosis or treatment.
